busy weekend indeed

ramen

the mitsuwa market places are undergoing their gormet food fair, and part of it comes the legendary ramen fair!  not necessarily a fair, it's more like some ramen shops from japan were asked to stop by various mitsuwas in the area.  the SD location is lucky cause they're the only one were all the shops are actually visiting.

the one visiting this week was chibaki-ya.  it was really awesome, they seem to be known for their half eggs and man did they deliver.  they slightly boil their eggs so it's still gooey in the center.  in addition, they left in the chunks of pork fat which not only add the flavor but the thin layer of melted fat keeps the soup very well insulated.

the next shop to hit town will be sumire, which i haven't really looked into.  asameshi maeda honto, which was in costa mesa this week, well be in sd at the end of the month and i'll be back down in san diego for sure.

i found that i was able to put backups of my import games onto my memory stick.  so it's still in japanese but that's fine i've played maybe 3 or 4 rpgs completely in japanese through the use of walkthroughs so it's nothing too bad.  well looks like imma go flash my sister's psp so i'll be back some other time
